Ngong Ping 360

Day 2 - A Long Ride via Cable Car

Our first day in Hongkong was not very exciting because it was raining and difficult to go around. On the contrary, the second day was awesome and fantastic! We went to see Ngong Ping 360.

How to get there:

From our Hostel in Mongkok, we took a train via MTR Tsuen Wan Line to Lai King station. From there, we took another train via MTR Tung Chung Line from Lai King going to Tung Chung for a cable car ride.

Upon getting there we had our ticket validated at the ticketing office. Note: We purchased our ticket at Ashan Hostel. We even got a big discount cause it is cheaper than the actual price.

Riding Cable Car
After ticket validation we took a cable car ride. We purchased a regular ticket therefore, we took a ride with other 2 Chinese couples. It was quite a long ride from Tung Chung to our destination. If you fear of heights, riding this is a good test of immunity to heights. ( lol ) The cable car slows down from one station to another. I think their cable cars are design to let it rest from time to time through the stations. See the photo below on how the station looks like.

The weather was cold because we went during winter season. I could feel the coldness soothing to the bone. We had random views of mountain/places because some parts were foggy some were not.
